Havana Lacks 6,000 Trash Cans

The capital currently has 2/3rds of the estimated 18,000 required to dispose of waste.

Large and small factories in Cuba are manufacturing the containers to avoid the $160 price tag on the international market.

The trash bins should last around four years, but many only enjoy a half-life due to poor care or burning.
